Dr. Olson is currently the President of the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington, VA. He will continue in that position as he goes through a time of transition to serve full time at Haymarket Baptist Church. Associate Pastor | Rev. Ruth Anne Sawyer
Ruth Anne has served as the Ministry Intern at Haymarket Baptist Church since August 2014. She has been an active church member since 2002 and taught at our preschool for eight years before attending seminary. A native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, she earned a Bachelor of Science from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Master’s degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. Ruth Anne has been married to Dan since 1998 and together they have three sons, Will, Dylan, and Reed.
Ministry Assistant | Ann Whitney
Ann Whitney has been the Ministry Assistant of Haymarket Baptist Church since September 2004. She was previously the director of our preschool for eight years and has lived in the Haymarket area since 1985. Ann received her Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her marriage to Dwight in 1979 has been blessed with two lovely daughters, Sara and Callie, two hard-working son-in-laws and three beautiful grandchildren.
Preschool & Kindergarten Director | Laurie Frasz
Mrs. Frasz has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working in the field for over 25 years. She has been a teacher, a director, a program supervisor, a curriculum writer, served on accreditation teams and lead workshops, seminars and parenting classes in 6 states. Laurie attends Grace Life Community Church. She is married to her best friend, has 2 grown and married daughters, 3 precious granddaughters, 1 heart-stealing grandson and a yellow lab named Foxy. She enjoys travel, knitting, reading, movies, good restaurants, and shopping. Her favorite aspects of directing are leading seasonal performances with the children, creating a warm, family atmosphere in the school and spending time getting to know each student and family. She loves having fun with her staff and looks for ways to inspire excellence in each of them! This is Mrs. Frasz’ twelfth year at HBCPK.
