Children

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
- Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
The cliché is true – children are our future.
They are also precious, fragile, energetic, people who are quick to soak up all they hear, see, and touch. They are very impressionable.
The children’s ministry team believes that the church’s role is to work in concert with parents by impressing in children’s hearts and minds the love of Christ. Not only that, but the children’s ministry team seeks to create a space in our church where children feel safe, are engaged on their level, and enjoy church.
Weekly, the church offers Sunday and Wednesday children’s education opportunities that are both fun and teach the important stories found in the Bible.
There are also fun, community building activities that occur during the year and range from Circus themed events to Easter egg hunts.
Because the children’s ministry sees its purpose as a supplement to Christian instruction in the home, the team offers from time to time parenting seminars, a monthly Parent Link Newsletter, and hope to create a parent forum in the future.
