Thinking of a visit?
We are glad that you are considering a visit to our church. Below you will find some details on what to expect when you visit. We understand that visiting a church for the first time can feel awkward and uncomfortable. We hope this information will help you feel more at ease, and therefore allow you to experience God more fully during Sunday School and the Worship Service.
Entering the Building
The Sunday School entrance is through the double-glass doors at the front of the church, close to the parking lot. Greeting you with a smile, a hand-shake and a worship bulletin is our beloved Mr. Tommy. An usher or greeter will also be at this entrance and available to assist you in finding your destination. Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning and concludes at 10:45 a.m.
The sidewalk leading from the parking lot will take you to the Sanctuary entrance. An usher or greeter be at this entrance and will provide you with a worship bulletin. Worship begins with the chiming of the hour from our bell tower at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday morning.
The handicapped entrance is through the double-glass doors located on the side of the building facing the parking lot (this is also our Preschool entrance during the week). An usher will be close by to lend assistance as needed.
Got Children?
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
We offer a welcoming atmosphere for infants and toddlers in our Nursery. Our paid staff and church member volunteers share Bible stories and music with your little ones, along with caring for their needs with the supplies you provide. Upon arrival, you will be asked to complete an information sheet for your child. Should your infant or toddler need your care during Sunday School or Worship, a nursery worker will locate you.
Two-year-old toilet-trained children through those in the third grade hold Sunday School in the Children’s wing of the church. Two and three-year-olds are in Room 21 for both Sunday School and Worship. Four and pre-K five-year-olds are in Room 24. Kindergarten and first grade are in Room 23. Second and third grade are in Room 22.
Fourth and fifth grade, middle school and high school Sunday School class rooms are on the second floor. Fourth and fifth grade are in Room 53. Grades 6-8 and 9-12 hold classes in the Youth Wing. You’ll easily recognize the youth area as it is the one with the chairs, sofas, floor pillows, refrigerator, painted hand-prints on the walls and checkered ceiling.
All of our Nursery and Sunday School teachers have had a love for children placed on their hearts and are glad to assist your family in teaching them the Word of God.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do most people dress on Sunday morning?
People dress in a variety of styles from business attire to casual. Your presence is more important to us, however, than your attire.
Will I be individually recognized during the worship service as a visitor?
Visitors are not asked to identify themselves during worship service. We ask visitors and members alike to complete the Friendship pad that is located in each pew. After your first visit, the Outreach Committee will drop you a note in the mail, but we do not make home visits unless requested.
What style of worship do you employ?
We worship in a traditional-style for Baptist life. You may review our weekly worship bulletin here.
How long does the worship service last?
Typically a worship service will last approximately one hour.
Do you have a contemporary worship service?
Not at this time.
What is the attendance at a typical worship service?
Approximately 100-130.
Is there a children’s worship service separate from adults?
About 15 minutes into the worship service in the sanctuary, children ages 4 years to 5th grade are invited to the Children’s Sermon given by the pastor at the front of the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the children’s sermon, children ages 4 to 2nd grade are invited to attend Children’s Church in room 26. Children remain in this room until you pick them up at the end of the worship service. Children may certainly remain with you in the sanctuary as well, although we ask that disruptive children be taken to the hall until they have settled down. An usher will be available to assist you as needed.
What is your policy on receiving Communion?
Communion is celebrated approximately eight times throughout the year, to include Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve. All baptized believers are invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper which is served by the Deacons to the seated congregation.
